Hot of his win in Thursday’s $30,000 CI Assante Wealth Management Open Welcome, Moffatt returned to the grass grand prix field at Wesley Clover Parks to claim victory in the $75,000 RBC Grand Prix. While Grafton had been his winning mount for Thursday’s win, this time it was Donjo that carried him into the winner’s circle.....
Tokyo, JPN, July 25, 2021 – Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu of Saint-Bruno, QC, and Lindsay Kellock of Toronto, ON, closed out dressage competition for Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan on July 25, 2021.
Chris von Martels of Ridgetown, ON, and Eclips (Apache x Olympic Ferro) laid down the first equestrian score for Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan in the Dressage Grand Prix Team and Individual Qualifier. 28 combinations worked their way down the centreline for the competition on July 24, 2021. July 25’s Grand Prix will feature an additional 30 combinations, including Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu of Saint-Bruno, QC, with All In and Lindsay Kellock of Toronto, ON, and Sebastien.
Dressage competition at the Games begins on July 24 and 25 with the Grand Prix, followed by the Grand Prix Special on July 27, which will decide the team medals and act as the final individual qualifier.
Equestrian Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee have announced Canada’s equestrian team nominated to compete at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The six athletes qualified for Team Canada based on performances that met Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) Minimum Eligibility Requirements from Jan. 1, 2019, to June 21, 2021.
The opportunity to compete on Wesley Clover Parks’ renowned grass grand prix field has attracted competitors from around the region for the sold-out event. Course designer Mike Pegg of Uxbridge, ON, will set the show jumping tracks during the first week of competition.
