AJAX DOWNS OCTOBER 7, 2022 - Ajax Downs hosts its popular Thanksgiving Monday card on October 10 highlighted by the $50,830 Alex Picov Memorial Championship, a 770-yard 'hook race' and a pumpkin giveaway for the first 100 kids to decorate. Fans on track might also catch a glimpse of the 'Headless Horseman' during the afternoon. The first of nine races goes off at 12:55 p.m.
Wow, what a show!!! What a fantastic weekend we had at the Steel City Slide at the Ancaster Fairgrounds! The weather was pretty fantastic (a little too hot on Sunday but hey – it’s summer!) Over 100 horses competed in various classes over three days. We paid out over $30,000 to winners and handed out over $10,000 in prizes.

Tanner Korotkin (USA) had only competed Quinn 33 at two other shows before arriving for MLSJ Ottawa at Wesley Clover Parks. Their new partnership is off to a winning start, however, with a victory coming in the $74,000 CSI5* Saniton Plastic 1.50m.

rin, Ontario - The Canadian Eventing Team is gearing up to send a full squad of talented athletes to the 2022 FEI World Championships, September 14 – 25, 2022 in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy. Holly Jacks and Candy King will be joining the team of Hawley Awad and JollyBo, Colleen Loach and Vermont, Karl Slezak and Fernhill Wishes, as well as Michael Winter and El Mundo.
Daniel Bluman (ISR) and Gemma W were the definite ones to beat during MLSJ Toronto at Angelstone Tournaments. After clinching the qualifier earlier in the week, Bluman and Gemma W, an 11-year-old KWPN mare (Luidam x Unaniem) owned by Blue Star investments ended on a high note by winning the $214,300 Kubota CIS5* Grand Prix.
Herning, Denmark – Tiffany Foster of Langley, BC, placed 12th in the Individual Final on Sunday, August 14, at the ECCO FEI 2022 World Championships in Herning, Denmark. Foster, 38, was the only Canadian to qualify for the two-round Individual Final. After three days of jumping, the top 25 riders from the original starting field of 103 qualified for the first round with the top 12 moving forward to a second round to determine the individual medals.
