Richard Mongeau Departs As Chief Executive Officer Of Equestrian Canada

The position of Interim CEO will be filled by Yves Hamelin.



Ottawa, ON, Sept. 12, 2019 - Richard Mongeau has departed from his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EC, effective Sept. 12. The position of Interim CEO will be filled by Yves Hamelin.

The role and focus of the Interim CEO over the next year will be to:

Effectively implement the Board’s organizational restructuring plan.
Create a collaborative and collegial organizational culture dedicated to a shared vision of excellence for EC.
Implement and manage a robust and extensive search for the position of CEO. The work of the Interim CEO and EC staff moving forward will address the implementation and achievement of our Strategic Initiatives Plan, while striving to maintain the highest standard of service to our constituents.

The EC Board of Directors will engage to facilitate and support this transition of leadership and to provide stability and clear direction for the path forward.

The Board would like to sincerely thank Richard for his service to EC, and convey their best wishes to him in his future endeavours.
